The Lenovo Thinkpad X131e Chromebook has just been announced and it combines Google's Chrome OS with Lenovo's Rugged casings. Hardware-wise it is based on the already-existing x131e, however this system is built solely upon Intel's hardware - no AMD option here.

The all new Acer C7 Chromebook is a very interesting low cost Chromebook coming at a prices lower than the Samsung ARM-based Chromebook. With its Intel Celeron 867 Processor it boosts the Chromebook to a whole new level. While the ARM Chromebook tries to set new standards for batterylife, this Chromebook comes with an average batterylife of about 3.5hrs. Additionally to the 320GB HDD it comes with 100GB Cloud Storage from Google. Nothing special portwise but it delivers the ports one would expect from a laptop (except the lacking SD-Card slot).

The Samsung Series 5 550 Chromebook is the latest model of Chromebooks and has 3G connection. It has Wi-Fi a/b/g/n and Gigabit Ethernet. With its 6800mAh battery it is said to last for up to 6 hours. At roughly 1.4kg it is a bit heavier than most Ultrabooks however still lighter than normal laptops.

An incredibly good value Chromebook with style and battery life on its side. It's silent too. The Baytrail-M procesing platform has it's limits so if you're into serious web-application usage you might want to look at the Acer C720 running on the Haswell-architechture platform but for casual use it's quick and easy-going. Chromebooks have their limits but the list of issues get shorter as time goes by.

We like the supported Wifi AC for fast wireless connections. This machine has no fans so noise will not be an issue.

The Dell Chromebook 11 brings ChromeOS to Dells lineup. It comes with standard ChromeOS features like 2GB RAM, 16GB SSD and long battery runtime of up to 10 hours. Note that there is a 4GB RAM version available. It has a full size HDMI port for screen mirroring, two USB2.0 Ports, SD card reader and a mic/headphone jack.

Samsung adds an Intel Celeron N2840 version to their Chromebook 2 lineup. With WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0 this chromebook should be equipped for future usage. Proclaimed battery runtime is at 8hrs. Rest of hardware is standard chromebook specs, 16GB SSD storage and 2GB of RAM.

The CTL NL6 Education Chromebook is a Chromebook built for school environments. It is powered by a quadcore Intel Celeron N2930 supported by 4GB of RAM and 16GB of SSD storage. One interesting thing about the CTL NL6 Chromebook is an attachable magnification lens for the tiltable webcam. General build quality is rugged with a sealed touchpad and water-resistant keyboard. It comes with a carrying handle and has a claimed battery runtime of 9.5hrs. Wireless connections are decent with WiFi a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0.
